1.Imetherin[on]thestreet.用on主要為美語用法。Don'tplayinthestreet.（這裡的street指車道，有別於人行道）tobe/goonthestreets=變成無家可歸；變成妓女（see＜新世紀英漢辭典＞p.1366street）themanin[on]thestreet=普通人（on是美語用法）Everyweek,fansstopmeinthestreet.NewOxfordAmericanDicitonarythirdeditionp.1723street2.Thelorrywastravellingat20mphintheslowlane.用in為介系詞（seeCollinsCobuildEnglishDicitonaryforAdvancedLearnersp.866lane）3.Thecaracceleratedandmovedintotheoutidelane.Shewentintothefinalinlanethree.NewOxfordAmericanDictionarythirdeditionp.981lane4.所以Iwasridinginthebicyclelane.才是正確的寫法（類似上述第2的用法）Iwaswalkinginasmallalley....

inthelane/alley:表達空間或範圍中之語意ontheland/alley:表達在路面上之語意.in或on皆可,看你表達什麼語意,英語或美語皆然.
