機車也是車 桃園十八條雙向四車道試辦內側可行機車

桃園市交通局去年起試辦「雙向四車道取消內側禁行機車」,迄今試辦十八條路段並取消部分路口兩段式左轉,市民態度保留或贊同者都有,交通局則指出,未來將統整機車肇事件數,明年上半年度考慮是否持續擴大試辦。
交通局最早在桃園、中壢與蘆竹區五條車道試辦,根據統計機車肇事件數約下降二成,經過整體評估後,持續擴大在桃園、中壢、楊梅、平鎮、蘆竹、大溪與大園等七個行政區的十八條雙向四車道,取消內側車道禁行機車,並有九十六個路口取消兩段式左轉。
劉姓機車騎士說,每逢上下班尖峰時刻,機車族會變成弱勢,經常得跟汽車或公車爭道、險象環生,能合法騎在內側又不用待轉,讓他覺得省時又安全;但也有市民認為,不少機車騎士仍不管規則,在舊內、外側車道鑽來鑽去,相當危險。
交通局長劉慶豐表示,最早試辦的五條路段,尚未取消內側禁行機車時,機車肇事率件數有六十七件,試辦後下降兩成剩餘四十七件,以桃園區富國路到春日路段最明顯,推行前半年度約有廿多肇事案件,迄今每半年肇事件數平均十件以下。
交通局交通工程科長黃錦虹指出,取消內側禁行機車的車道,機車騎士可依路況選擇內側或外側車道行駛,不會因為變換車道受罰,但仍呼籲須留意車況避免任意切換車道。
黃錦虹說,試辦路口若屬於交通流量大的路段,仍會維持機車兩段式左轉,明年上半年會盤點所有路線機車肇事案件數,並探討是否與取消兩段式左轉、內側車道禁行機車有關,同時也會與交通路權團體溝通,如果有路段肇事率沒有明顯改善,也會停辦取消內側禁行機車。

這樣騎機車就不用閃路旁的路霸、攤販、違停車輛和公車了,確實騎車會安全與順暢一些,既然無法根治違停亂象,開放機車行駛內車道就對了
